Holding Not‑Knowing

Porcelain

Installation view

Uncertainty names the ontological interval in which being is not yet given but at stake: a zone of indeterminacy where forces, relations, and potentials have not yet congealed into what will count as reality. It emerges as the obverse of control, certainty, and fixed order, and designates the constitutive interval where vectors of intention, matter, and time diverge, an indeterminate spacing in which trajectories are unsettled and outcomes not yet stabilised.

This research asks how such an interval might be materially activated with porcelain, and thought through in studio practices that foreground liminal conditions, where intention, and not‑knowing are held in tension.
