The Victorian Craft Award is a biennial program established by Craft Victoria in 2015 to celebrate excellence in contemporary craft practice across the state. It showcases exceptional works that foreground craft skills, processes and materials, and is open to emerging, mid-career and established craftspeople working in diverse mediums.

Developed to mark Craft Victoria’s 45th year, the Award positions craft as a critical, innovative field, presenting a cutting-edge vision of how material-based practices operate within contemporary culture. Finalist works are exhibited across gallery venues in Melbourne, bringing together artisans from across Victoria and highlighting the depth and range of current craft practice in the state.
