Sediments of Presence

Porcelain, Clothing & Blankets

Exploring the fragile boundaries of existence and mortality, fabrics inherited through personal

experiences of loss are ontologically yielded, leaving traces of the absent body, where

embodied presence and vulnerability are indelibly recorded. In this process of radical

dissolution, the remaining ash and carbon act as a physical sediment of layered human history

and duration, a site where past and present temporalities converge.
